La Superintendencia del Medio Ambiente (SMA), tiene entre sus ejes centrales, la adquisici\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda de punta para poder ayudarse en la realizaci\u00f3n de fiscalizaciones en terreno. Durante 2013 la SMA invirti\u00f3 m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares en la compra de equipos tecnol\u00f3gicos, como el robot submarino ROV; c\u00e1maras termogr\u00e1ficas; s<\/span>et de bombeo; poz\u00f3metro; GPS, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Este a\u00f1o, en su constante b\u00fasqueda de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas para el control y seguimiento del cumplimiento de las normativas ambientales, la SMA se encuentra testeando una nueva tecnolog\u00eda de vigilancia en terreno: los veh\u00edculos no tripulados, conocidos como UAV por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s. Este tipo de dispositivos \u2013tambi\u00e9n conocidos como drones- permitir\u00e1n a nuestros fiscalizadores verificar potenciales incumplimientos y documentarlos a trav\u00e9s de medios de pruebas como fotograf\u00edas \u00f3pticas o t\u00e9rmicas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Esta tecnolog\u00eda posibilita acceder a lugares inaccesibles e incluso peligrosos, cuidando as\u00ed la integridad de nuestros funcionarios, adem\u00e1s de ahorrar tiempo en la recolecci\u00f3n de evidencias a trav\u00e9s de im\u00e1genes.
